Thanks

love kenn

yes sir I would love to have Skyline and think my soldiers would like it to they haven't heard of it before I told them they are missing out. Ramen noodles would be great to mix with the chili. We do not have a microwave but it is hot enough out side we will just leave it in the sun for about 30 min and it will be hot. We have about a month of that heat left. We are always looking for snacks my 1sgt love to come in my motor pool and munch on our food he is a great guy. You have sent me a package before I thank you. My mom informed you all that I was over here.
thanks for you all support it is a great feeling to get things from people in the states just the thought that people still care makes our deployments go by faster. Thank you very much

John

WOW, thank you.

You guys are great. The bread was awesome and the personal care products are really great to. Everything you guys do is awesome and I think that I speak for everyone here when I say that you're the best hands down.

So keep up the great work it really goes a long way!

Roger

I apologize for being so hard to get in touch with. I've been really busy these last few days. I have moved to a different unit in my battalion. Now that I'm settled in I should be able to start getting mail again. Yes, we can give things to the locals. That's my favorite thing to do actually.

I've got a new crew of soldiers over here that I'm taking care of. We work directly for my Battalion Commander. He does a lot of public relations over here.

hi sue just wanted to let u know that I am back from the field for a lil while and I did receive all of ur packages and they were all amazing and tell everyone I really appreciate all of the bday cards.... it sure did make my bday in the sand a lot easier, also the corn hole boxes and the skyline are a huge hit so thank u very much...I look forward to beating everyone severely in corn hole for the next year, but its not their fault I kinda have the advantage with all of my practice over the years but they will learn the way of the corn.... keep the packages a rolling haha love kenn

Hello this is Johnnie I got your package and I am very thankful for that it made me really happy, I use everything. He didn’t tell me much about you but you sound cool. We are here in the green zone I’m trying to get him to work out with me so we can make him stronger. Again thank you.

Hey yeah that would be sweet!!! I’m always taking about skyline and like nobody has ever heard about it so that would be pretty sweet!!! I think that ramen would be the best for us and Fritos if you could :) That would be awesome thank you a ton
Mitchell

Hey what’s going on back in Indiana? Thanks for everything you all our doing for our troop! It's the people like our family and friends and especially you all who drive us from day to day! It wouldn’t be the same without people like you guys, so thanks again! But the Chili would go good with either chips I think, and spaghetti is better than Ramon noodles! But all is still good here, only 2 more months and we get to come back home! Thanks again,

 Frazier

Hey thanks for everything. I would love to have some chili that stuff is great. I would say we have plenty of Ramen noodles but if you want to send some Fritos or taco chips would be awesome. I really appreciate everything. Thank you all

Yes I do have electricity. Both 110 and 240 because that is what most of this foreign stuff runs on. Would love to have a microwave. Pop corn wow. O yea my troopers would love it to. You guys are awesome

John

You guys already do so much. I can't really think of much else. All I can say is skyline sounds awesome. Just keep up the great work you guys do.

Roger

First I want to thank you for the recent packages (3 already so far).
Since I receive the packages and since I'm the addressee I take a quick
look before sharing "most" of the contents with my office.  The shipment
of freezer pops was a big hit, as August in Kuwait is a good time for
freezer pops.  Thanks again.

On coffee.  To tell you the truth I would have agreed on the pre-bagged
coffee on either of my last two deployments.  However, my wife actually
shipped me a nice Mr. Coffee, coffee maker, which I brought to the
office.  So we brew 2-3 pots a day to support the "round the clock"
operations.  Therefore bulk and cost are considerations.  Big tubs are
usually best for our office.  As for brands we're not as picky as
most...but most of us prefer the dark roast (Not French Roast) flavors
as we usually like a stronger tasting cup of coffee.
But above all, we are truly thankful for the time and commitment you put
into your packages.  They have all arrived in good shape and we can tell
you put a lot of thought into the contents.  Your support is very kind
and we are truly appreciative.  I've included a picture of my Sergeants
Major and I in my office.  It's a posed shot but our work doesn't offer
a lot of glamorous photo opportunities.
Thank you, Cousins

The skyline chili and some chips would be great.  Thank you.   Joel

How’d yall talk Skyline into giving out chili? That’s the best news I ever heard. Send Fritos!

Got the two packages sent here about a week ago. Thank you. I think everybody found a little something in there they could use. You guys are doing a lot of great things and we appreciate it very much!

-Cameron

Hello!

I love Skyline Chili, however, would it be possible to send some to my husband at the COP I was at before moving back to the FOB? I know they would love it there since their dinner choices are much more limited! If that's possible

I cannot think of anything in particular I need right now. I am still at home on leave for another week, but once I get back to Iraq, I will definitely let you know if there is anything I could use!
Thanks so much for all you do!

Mindy

I will keep thinking about new ideas.  I got your coffee today and
appreciate it very much.  That'll keep our office running for another
month or so.  Thanks so much.

But again as we eat ice pops and drink coffee...we thank you and all the
other volunteers.  We do feel some of the compassion from the American
people.  When I come home or talk to people back home they always say
"Thank you for what you're doing."  I guess we forget it's
special...because I don't know anyone who goes a full day without saying
how much they would rather be home.  But we do know why we're here and
as long as we have support...we will not quit and we will not fail.  So
keep it coming.
Thank you,
 Cousins

I'm definitely seeing all of Iraq this deployment...good and bad!  But it's been an experience of a lifetime and memories.  I wouldn't change a day of it.

I tell you what.  I need nothing as you know.  The kid’s camp has about 50 kids on Saturdays but once school starts in a couple weeks we could end up with more.  If you think you have enough of the same item to go around to each child then you can send them.  If not, I would hate to hand them out and have a child be left out.  And believe me, they would know it!  :)

Also, I have less than a month left at this location before traveling back to my old base to start out-processing and training our replacements.  It's hard to believe I'm almost home!  For a while it seemed like the day would never come. Again Sue, a big thanks to you and everyone at OTY.  It's always nice to have people back home appreciate our service. The care packages and cards have put a smile on my face and I couldn't ask for more than that!   Please let everyone there know what they do doesn't go unnoticed.  From all of the servicemen and women ~ THANK YOU!

I would love to come see your operation and help out one day once I get home and settled.  I'm sure the holidays are a busy time for all of you.

Talk soon, Karen

Hello,

forgive the late response.  I came home on leave.  I'm in Cincinnati right now and haven't been checking email....

I'm sure they would love some hillbilly golf.  Sounds fun.  We have a corn hole as I mentioned and they use that so the hillbilly golf would give us a couple different fun activities for the occasional chance to gather.

I'm sure plenty of people will appreciate the chance to come and hang out once they return home.  I'll certainly make some time and try to bring my wife to meet you all.

You can certainly send some Windex and we are most appreciative for things like that.

Thanks, I'll get back to you again soon.

 Cousins

Just wanted to let you know I received your Avon package and another package as well I believe with snacks.  Thanks so much!  I had another soldier in my room with me when I was opening and whatever I was willing to part with she was snagging it up!

I'll continue to work on the issues we discussed.  Send me an email if you get any ideas in the meantime!

   Thanks again!
Amy

Hi,

thank you and perfect timing on the beanie babies!  I received them in the mail today right before I headed out to visit the kids.  I have attached a couple of my favorites with their new friend.  Again, pass my thanks on to everyone for doing what they do!

I am hoping to leave here by the end of the month so I would not send anymore packages to me.  No matter how much I'd love to keep getting things in for the kids, I think we'd be cutting it close and who knows where they'd go from here.  :)
 Karen

I will make sure I get over to see you all during the month of December.  Obviously, this email address is the way to stay in touch so you'll have to let me know when I could come over on a day to help get xmas packages together for all of the troops.   These Iraqi children have been one of the highlights of my deployment.

Take care and thanks to all of you for taking care of us!  Karen

Hey thanks again, the candy was great. It's just a few weeks away and we'll be home. The care packages you have sent have been great, their just a little taste of home. By the way I loved the skyline! Well thanks for all you have done and we'll see you guys soon.

Roger

Wanna thank you all for all the cards I got today. Always great to get a card in the mail. Usually I hang them all on my wall but with us moving barracks I had to take them all down. Thank you again.
Sgt H

I just wanna thank you for the Halloween candy. Sure does fix the sweet tooth. Really do appreciate everything you do. Thank you again.
Sgt H.
